Green Tea Mixed with Coffee - Safety and Side Effects?

by Xianli

I love to drink green tea as well as coffee.I drink one tea bag of green tea and 1 cup of coffee a day.

I also love to mix any kind of drinks too.(juices, wines, sodas, etc.) I wonder if it is safe to mix coffee and green tea coz as I've read green tea also contains about half the amount of caffeine found in coffee.

In addition, I would like to ask if "sencha tea bags, yamama masudaen shizoukora japan green tea" is safe to drink?

Any recommendation of what brand or kind of green tea is best to drink? I am hoping for your response. Thank you.

Answer:

Xianli, the healthiest green tea is loose green tea leaves harvested early season.

They consist mostly of tea buds and contain high level of theanine (calming and soothing) and antioxidants (many health benefits).

As for your question about mixing coffee with green tea bag, I am not aware of any safety issues and side effects that exist.

:)

Hope this helps.
